Durango is one of our favortie places to go and this year the colors were magnificent. Noor took this picture of me when we pulled over about halfway to Silverton. We stayed at a fantastic bed and breakfast called Country Sunshine. The couple, Jodi and Walter were delightful and we enjoyed some fabulous food cooked by Walter, who was Austrian. They had a lovely wooden deck where we could watch the birds and enjoy the fresh air while eating outside.
Walter cooked to please and made sure to meet our dietary restrictions. He made potato pancakes, blue corn muffins and a fresh fruit cup for our breakfast. Then he made chocolate chip cookies, and a rum cake with ice cream for dessert after dinner. Wow!
